On the facade of the one- storey, classicist building, the eponymous black eagle relief can be seen. It was a popular site of the town’s social life both as an inn and hotel.

What it really makes important in historical aspect is that it was the gathering place of the reform era’s youth. In 1848, March 16th the 12 Points and the National Song were read here first.
