Saint Ann Chapel

The oldest intact medieval building of Fehérvár. The single nave chapel with a rose window above its entrance, has remained intact during the centuries.

Its altarpiece depicts Saint Ann. During King Matthias reign, around 1474, Hentel, a rich citizen of the town made it build. During the Turkish time it served as a mosque. At the beginning of the 1700s count László Nádasdy, later bishop of Csanád had it restored.
