Schliemann – Troia - 28 July 20:00

The great performance of the King St. Stephen Museum's Archaeological Theater is on the program again.

Schliemann – Troy is the memoir of a man to whom fate promised only bitterness and sorrow, and no joy at all. Yet, Heinrich Schliemann managed to turn the wheel of his own destiny. In János Keller’s captivating performance, he tells the story of this life-changing turn. Stepping into the shoes of contemporaries, he recalls the holding-back forces of the era around him, and we also see him in extreme human situations—for example, clinging to the mast of a sinking ship, offering his worthless life to God.

Destinies, moments, and shocking, life-altering decisions line the adventurous life of Heinrich Schliemann, the wealthy tycoon and amateur archaeologist. And this life, in a strange way, is very familiar to us...

Here in Fehérvár, the City of Kings, where so many incredible, great stories have gathered over our millennium of history. This special collection is now enriched by the life story of Heinrich Schliemann. If you have a free evening, come and sit with us – we will tell you the story.
