The triangle -shaped Saint Stephen Square is one of the most beautiful square of the town, it follows the former town wall in its form.Most of its buildings were built on the ruins of townwall, l from its stones. In the middle of the square St Stephen’s bronze equestrian statue is standing on a black, Swedish granite pedestal.

The cosy baroque houses of Megyeház street hide so many curiosities, it is an experience to discover their every tiny detail.

It is known Seminar or St Joseph and The Blessed Virgin Mary- Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, which was erected in the 18th century by the Carmelites, an order born in the 12th-13th centuries.It was the top high school in the town, from where 30 seminarians were trained annual.

The statue of Louis the that can be found in the church side, is the art work of Ödön Moiret. Louis the Great took care about and helped the Order and built a Friary that’s why his limestone statue can be found. In 1938 Székesfehérvár erected more statues.

The hill of the Basilica was the historic core of the city as it was the first residence of the sovereign, the spot where the palace of Great Prince Géza stood. The Basilica was partly built on public donation on the foundations of the medieval gothic St. Peter and St. Paul Basilica between 1758 and 1768 according to the plans of Martin Grabner.

The Townhall is a double building complex. The right side one is the older, it was already the townhall in the 1700s. The left side building is 100 years younger, it contains the Zichy palace. A bridge connects the two buildings together.

The most well-known symbol of Székesfehérvár is Béla Ohmann’s piece of art, however its inscriptions’ significance is not known for everyone. The dates under the lions represent important things: 1001- St Stephen’s coronation, 1688- the liberation of the town from the Turkish reign, 1938- 900th anniversary of St. Stephen’s death.

A templom oldalában lévő Lux Elek alkotás a II. Világháborúban megsérült. Hogy megmentsék a pusztulástól, titokban elásták a Püspökség kertjében. 1990-ben ásták ki, így méltó környezetben láthatjuk.

A középkori Magyarország legszentebb helye, koronázások, királyi keresztelők, esküvők, temetések, országgyűlések otthona, ahol 38 királyt koronáztak, 15 királyt és 9 királynét temettek el.

A Koronázó Bazilika területének kialakítására, feltárására és bemutatására 1938-ban, Szent István halálának 900 éves évfordulója alkalmából került sor.

A Romkert melletti ún. „ lábasház” falán tablókat láthatunk királynékról, királyi családtagokról. Az itt elhelyezett képernyőn egy rövidfilm a hajdani bazilikát mutatja be, egy királykoronázás jelenetével együtt.

Watthay Ferenc várkapitány szobra mögött a Monostor bástya maradványait, illetve vármaradványokat látunk. A falakon hajdani „grafittik”, számok, betűk találhatók.

A Püspöki Palota előtt nézzünk a lábunk elé, hiszen Szent István király kézjegyére bukkanhatunk! A kézjegyet a Szent István emlékjel őrzi. A körülötte levő díszítés a szarkofág motívumaiból került összeállításra.

A Palotavárosi tavak mellett fekvő parkban a Székesfehérváron eltemetett királyok életnagyságú fából faragott szobraiban gyönyörködhetnek az idelátogatók.
