Prohászka Park

A tiny fresh park at the foot of the centuries old walls. These are the remains of the former fortress wall and the monastery fort, behind these we can find the garden of the Episcopal Place. During the stroll the couples can take a cool rest.

The statues of the park recall several legends, among them there are some really romantic ones. The figure of the main artwork is Constable Ferenc Wathay- he had been captured by the Turkish four times – once just here in Fehérvár, and could escape every time. As a captain, he composed a songbook and illustrated it by himself. Let’s have a look at Ottokár Prohászka’s monument, where the angel raised its left hand up in the sky.
