Peacock house

This building is known as well as the Csöppenszky-house which is the most splendid Art Nouveau house in the town, built around 1900.

Its peculiarities can be seen upstairs: the loggia with three openings and wrought iron barrier, rosette ornate facade and the peacock reliefs on the half column capitals are all splendid Art Nouveau elements. The era of Art Nouveau ended by the World War I. It was a brief but very significant period that made an impression on Fehérvár’s architecture.
