Maulbertsch-Well

Dezső Erdey sculptor made this jagged wrought-iron artwork standing on a stone base. It was erected in the place of the former drinking well.

Its pedestal was made from the stones of the town wall. Franz Anton Maulbertsch painted the frescos of the Seminar Church (former Carmelite), situated next to the well, and it is a tribute for his memory. Originally, red copper cover and pulley were on it as well.
