Louis the Great Statue

The statue of Louis the that can be found in the church side, is the art work of Ödön Moiret. Louis the Great took care about and helped the Order and built a Friary that’s why his limestone statue can be found. In 1938 Székesfehérvár erected more statues.

From the Press it is known that this artwork was erected in the last minute. Behind the statue the inscription means: King of Hungary, Poland, Dalmatia, Serbia and Bosnia, reigned between 1342-1384. The inscription of the pedestal: Ludovicus Magnus (Louis the Great).
