Goldziher House

The 750 -year-old building had been rebuilt more times, but last time its arhaic walls were left free for our eyes, thus the passing and remaining centuries can be seen.

One of the oldest point of the town, varied with 13th century Gothic style later Baroque elements. A one- storied, U- shaped house, with cellar, and pitched roof. At its entrance the medieval paved street level can be found.

It is lower than the present day one. Ignác Goldzicher Orientalist was born here, the building got its name after him. His plaque was made by Jenő Bory.
