Tradition and craft quality—that is what Barátok Café promises in the historic heart of Székesfehérvár. Commissioned by the Bishop of Székesfehérvár, these award-winning craft beer specialties are named after Hungarian saints—Saint Emeric (Szent Imre) and Saint Gerard (Szent Gellért)—as well as the provost who guarded the Holy Crown.
These beers—available exclusively here—won silver and bronze medals at the 2017 Barcelona Beer Challenge. They can be tasted in three distinct styles: Szent Gellért, a continental pilsner and bottom-fermented pale lager, whose rich malt flavour is complemented by a gentle hop bitterness; Szent Imre, a Bavarian Hefeweizen, an unfiltered pale wheat beer featuring citrus notes alongside a distinct wheat malt character; and Prépost, a top-fermented porter-style dark beer dominated by aromas and flavours of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and dried fruit. Premium craft brews, found only in Fehérvár at Barátok Café surrounded by unique stories and rich history.
